Staking rewards are funded by activity, not emissions. Here is the path every fee dollar takes before it reaches a staker.

A trade pays a fee

Every buy and sell on the protocol pays a 0.5% fee in USDC. This is the only place protocol revenue comes from: no inflation, no emissions.

Fees split four ways

Fees route to the platform, the market creator, market depth, and LPs. Post-TGE, a share of the platform fee is earmarked for $PRED buybacks under DAO governance, so token demand can track real usage.

Half burned, half to stakers

Of any $PRED bought back, the plan is to burn ~50% permanently and route ~50% into the resolution-staking pool. Your stake earns a pro-rata share of that pool, paid in $PRED.

STAKING VS. THE VAULT

Staking and the liquidity vault are separate. Stake $PRED to earn staking rewards and fee discounts. Your principal is never at market risk. The vault is for liquidity providers who deposit USDC to back markets, earning a share of fees while taking on counterparty risk. You can do either, both, or neither.

What token do I stake?

$PRED, the native governance and utility token of Wager Predict. BEP-20 on BNB Chain.

Is there a lock-up period?

No lock-up to stake. 7-day cooldown to unstake.

Where do rewards come from?

After TGE, a share of protocol fees is earmarked, under DAO governance, to buy back $PRED: roughly half burned, half routed to the resolution-staking reward pool that stakers earn from. Buyback size and cadence are governance-directed, not an automatic on-chain mechanism.

What do I get for staking?

Do I need $PRED to use the platform?
